Accommodation for Workers

A key change within phase 2 of the route map makes provision for accommodation to be provided for those who are required to stay away from home for work purposes.

From the 22 June onwards, this will allow the provision of accommodation for workers required to work away from home – in compliance with social distancing guidelines and public health advice.  The circumstances which will necessitate an individual to stay in short-term accommodation for work purposes should require a physical presence in a location away from home (where the distance is such that it is not feasible to commute) and where the work itself cannot be done on a virtual basis

As before, in relation to key-workers, reasonable evidence of the necessity of the stay for work purposes should be provided upon arrival.
