ASSC Responds to Scottish Parliament COVID-19 Inquiries

The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers has responded to two separate Scottish Parliamentary inquiries on the impact of COVID-19 on businesses and the tourism sector. In both submissions, the ASSC highlighted the problems relating to self-catering operators accessing business support grants from local authorities.

The ASSC looks forward to engaging with both Committees in the weeks ahead and supplying further supplementary evidence.

You can view the written evidence to the Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Affairs Committee here. During the Tourism Committee meeting on 14th May, the ASSC’s work was highlighted by Claire Baker MSP and Oliver Mundell MSP during their questioning of the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism Fergus Ewing MSP. It was also quoted in the Herald newspaper.

The written evidence to the Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee can be accessed here.
