Thanks to our friends at ASVA for circulating their report on Visitor Attractions opening.
“ASVA and our colleagues at the Moffat Centre have undertaken a large scale data gathering exercise to establish as clear a picture of possible of how the attractions sector will be re-opening as lockdown restrictions ease. We have had a good response from the sector to the request for data, with more than 360 attractions providing us with information about not only when they intend to reopen, but also how they intend to re-open.
“I am pleased to provide you with the attached report, which provides the most comprehensive information available to date on how and when the sector will be re-opening. The intention is for our members and others to use the report to help inform decisions and to encourage greater coordination of activity and marketing plans within the industry.
“The report provides a detailed overview of the re-opening of the sector, as well as a list of the attractions who submitted their data, so you can specifically check which attraction is opening and when. Please note, not all respondents were willing to make this information public at this stage, so the list of attractions is somewhat shorter than the number of businesses that actually submitted their data. We hope that we will be able to add more names to the list in the near future, as more sites firm up their plans and are comfortable sharing this information.
“A huge thank you to the Moffat Centre for partnering with us on this activity and specifically to Hugh Sheridan for his outstanding work in collating the data and producing the report. He has been working tirelessly on this data collection work over the last few weeks and I would like to thank him for his fantastic efforts.”
