The big news is that Expedia has been added to our channel manager. We’ve also been working really hard to make SuperControl more mobile-friendly and to improve the user experience. Webinars are being delivered regularly to help you grow your business, and a data analyst has joined our team so we can produce even more industry-savvy articles and advice. We’ve also been engaging more with the SuperControl community to seek your feedback to ensure the developments that are most important to you are prioritised. Meet the team………
Robert Kennedy, Product Director
Robert has an entrepreneurial background, having taken on three family run holiday cottages near Kirkcudbright when he left university. He invested in the properties and built a website and marketing strategy to progress from agency-managed to a privately-managed business achieving 90% occupancy within three years. Robert went on to start SuperWebs web design and SEO agency in 1999 before launching SuperControl in 2007 to a UK holiday rentals market hungry for a specialist property management system. Today, SuperControl has more than 1,800 clients, including the owners and property managers of cottages, villas, caravan parks, glampsites, canal boats, yurts, campervans and more. SuperControl continues to grow and has gone from strength to strength. Involved in the holiday rental industry since 1998, Robert is a long-term committee member of the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers, industry engagement advisor to VisitScotland and an active participant in the Vacation Rental Managers Association and European Holiday Homes Association.
Kerry Scott, Strategic Partnerships Manager
Kerry’s role covers all third-party partnerships at SuperControl but a big part of it is Online Travel Agents (OTAs) like Booking.com and HomeAway. She is passionate about helping self-catering businesses, large and small, make the most of their listings on OTA sites to increase visibility, get more bookings and welcome more international travellers. OTAs can be an asset and not a threat. Kerry has worked at SuperControl for more than eight years and still loves helping self-catering businesses evolve in this ever-changing market.
Emma McGeorge, Marketing
Assistant
Emma has recently joined the SuperControl team as the Marketing Assistant. She is involved in maintaining SuperControl’s social media feeds and helping form SuperControl’s external communications. Emma is really interested in how self-caterers market themselves and their online presence. She is looking forward to contributing to the SuperControl community, sharing knowledge and experiences and getting to know you better.
Alex Baisden, Client Experience Manager
Alex has been involved in client care and account management for the past decade, beginning initially in credit sales for HSBC and moving through Amazon’s Customer Service team as a lead, coach and mentor. Until earlier this year he was a Customer Operations Manager for Careerbuilder, and international internet software company specialising in recruitment and job advertisement service products. He managed Greek, Swedish, French and German language teams and enjoys the challenge of providing high standard service in each of those very different markets. He joined SuperControl in March this year and this is his first experience in the self-catering sector, he’s enjoying learning about it hugely.
Tom Billings, Client Support Advisor
Tom works in the support team dealing with the day-to-day running of support and manages his own group of client accounts. He also has a keen interest in web design and enjoys helping and advising SuperControllers the best way to integrate SuperControl with their website.
Naomi Stephenson, Client Support Advisor
Naomi has worked in the support team for seven months now. This is her first job in the self-catering industry and she really enjoys speaking to clients and walking them through from set up to going live.
