Open to all Scottish tourism and events businesses!
Join VisitScotland for an insightful session designed to help you adapt to the effects of climate change.
Have either you or your business been impacted by erratic weather events because of climate change recently? Or have you thought about what you might do if that were to happen to you?
This webinar will feature industry speakers and experts in adaptation, concluding with a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges the sector faces, as well as the benefits that adaptation can bring to your business. VisitScotland will show you the tools to access and navigate climate risks, and how to start preparing a plan to counter them. They will have a guest speaker from Verture the experts on adaptation. In this webinar, they will examine the Heritage Tourism Sector as a case study to explore the innovations and resources emerging from this sector, what skills, resources, and learnings can be adapted for the broader tourism and events audience. You will hear about what free tools and resources there are to support you on this journey and what is coming down the road.
VisitScotland has recently collaborated with Historic Environment Scotland on a project examining adaptation in the Heritage Tourism Sector, with a significant output being the new Heritage Tourism Adaptation manual, which will be promoted during this event.
