The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) has welcomed the appointment of Stephen Flynn as Scotland’s new Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism and Transport following First Minister John Swinney’s announcement of a streamlined Scottish Cabinet focused on delivering on the priorities of the people of Scotland.
The creation of a dedicated Cabinet Secretary role encompassing tourism has been warmly received by the sector, with the ASSC highlighting the importance of tourism to Scotland’s national and local economies.
