FHL Tax Regime Abolished from April 2025: Act Now to Secure Your Tax Relief!

The Furnished Holiday Lettings (FHL) tax regime is coming to an end next month (April 2025). This will bring an end to key tax benefits, including capital allowances on embedded fixtures.

The measure will have effect:

  • on or after 6 April 2025 for Income Tax and for Capital Gains Tax
  • from 1 April 2025 for Corporation Tax and for Corporation Tax on chargeable gains

If you own an FHL property, you may still be entitled to significant tax relief, but claims must be made before the deadline to ensure they can be carried forward beyond the abolition. Many owners and accountants are unaware of these hidden allowances, which can result in thousands of pounds in potential savings.
