ASSC Chief Executive’s Report 2025 Released

We are pleased to share the 2025 Chief Executive’s Report, capturing a year of resilience, collaboration and progress for Scotland’s self-catering sector.
Despite economic pressures and complex legislation, our community has continued to show strength, professionalism and unity. Thanks to the support of our members, we have achieved meaningful wins and continued to lead with evidence-based advocacy.
A Year of Achievement
The report highlights:
  • Strengthened financial position
  • Key progress on fair regulation
  • Launch of the first ASSC Climate Action Plan
  • Increased communications reach and member engagement
  • Stronger influence across national policy forums
What’s Ahead for 2026
Looking forward, we are preparing for an ambitious year including:
  • Publication of the ASSC 2026 Scottish Parliamentary Election Manifesto
  • A new AA / ASSC Quality Assurance Plus Scheme
  • Launch of the new ASSC website and Responsible Tourism Hub
  • Regional Gatherings across Scotland
  • Continued reform advocacy on visitor levy, NDR and planning
  • ASSC Talks, workshops and CEO Surgeries to keep members informed and connected
