Fiona Campbell, ASSC CEO, on the Panel of BBC Scotland’s Debate Night – 19th March 2025

On 19th March 2025, Fiona Campbell, Chief Executive of the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC), appeared on BBC Scotland’s Debate Night* to advocate for the self-catering sector.

During a debate about the benefits system, Fiona seized the opportunity to highlight the significant mental health impact faced by those in the self-catering sector. She passionately discussed how restrictive regulations are forcing businesses to close, leaving dedicated operators unable to continue their work despite their desire and determination to do so.

The ASSC continues to champion the rights of self-catering businesses, calling for fair treatment and recognition of the sector’s vital contribution to Scotland’s tourism economy.
