You will soon receive your new business rates bill by post or email following the recent rates revaluation.
As is standard practice at the start of a revaluation period, Small Business Relief will initially be removed from these bills. This is a normal administrative step.
What you need to do
Once you receive your rates bill, reapply for Small Business Relief as soon as possible.
If applicable, you should also apply for:
- Small Business Transitional Relief
- Hospitality Relief
This is a routine process and should not cause any issues, but applications should be submitted promptly so they are processed before payments are due to begin in May.
If you believe you are eligible for any of the above reliefs, please ensure your application is made as soon as your rates bill arrives.
