ASSC and Scottish Tourism Alliance submit joint evidence on Visitor Levy (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill

The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) and the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA) have submitted a joint written evidence submission to the Scottish Parliament’s Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee as part of its Call for Views on the Visitor Levy (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill.

The Call for Views asks 8 questions about the new legislation, which we’ve answered ‘yes’ to all and set out why we welcome the changes proposed in the Bill, and what we think needs urgently amended. The questions can be found here: https://yourviews.parliament.scot/lghp/visitor-levy-amendment/

The deadline to submit written evidence on the Bill is the 26th January 2026.
